WRITING ABOUT WHAT WE READ!

During this workshop, students practice these skills:

  • Reading comprehension

  • Writing responses using evidence from the text

  • Paragraph structure and organization

This workshop is designed to help students develop the skills needed to read for information and write using evidence from a text. Students will build a planning tool that they can use in their own classrooms. They will be taught multi-sensory strategies to improve reading comprehension, as well as writing organization.

Following the workshop, instructor Alyssa Laliberte will provide a written report for each student explaining the student’s writing strengths and next steps for development.
