Our Mission

We believe that children will succeed when they are given the right kinds of support. Steamboat Reading’s goal is to identify each child’s strengths and interests. With individualized tutoring, parent education, advocacy, and evaluation, Steamboat Reading helps struggling children become successful readers and writers.

FACTS

Struggling readers and writers are often multi-dimensional, out-of-the-box thinkers who are highly creative and successful in many areas including arts, music, finance, mathematics, design and engineering.

ASSESSMENT

We offer a comprehensive evaluation, literacy evaluation and instructional assessments.  Assessments vary in the information they provide and duration of evaluation time. These assessment sessions are used to evaluate your child’s skills and determine what kinds of support would benefit your child.  You receive a written report and oral interpretation of the results.
